Medal of Honor is back!

The Medal of Honor series is back and it looks better than ever. The new game will be set in Afghanistan following an elite group of solders codenamed “Tier 1″.

“Operating directly under the National Command Authority, a relatively unknown entity of handpicked warriors are called on when the mission must not fail. They are the Tier 1 Operators.”

From the look of the two trailers that recently appeared online, the game is set to be pretty epic. I for one am very excited about the rebirth of this franchise and you should be too! Check out the trailer and tell me your not pumped for October 15th release.

Dead Space 2 Teaser

What happens in space stays in space. Except when your the sole survivor of a horrific alien encounter, in that case shit tends to stick with you. In the first trailer released for Dead Space 2 It seems Issac is having some trouble coping with events of the last game. Who can blame him he fought freakin’ space zombies! The new trailer is pretty sweet and now that the proverbial gates have opened I’d expect to see a lot more content come streaming out from EA in the upcoming months so stay tuned.

Halo: Reach Live-Action Trailer…That’s it!?

This is what Bungie and Microsoft have been building up to? Late last night Bungie released a much hyped live-action trailer for Halo: Reach and I for one am not impressed. First off the trailer is suppose to be about the physical augmentations a person must go through before becoming a Spartan, in the trailer “Carter” (future leader of Noble Team) is stuck with some needles and pumped full of this blue stuff. Now if that’s all you have to go through, sign me up! However being a fan of the franchise I know that’s just the tip of the iceberg, in the novel “Fall of Reach” master chief had to go through a whole list of procedures before becoming a spartan, many of which maimed or even killed the other candidates. I expected a lot more from this trailer, compared to the awesomeness of the ODST live-action promotion this is a chick flick.

SC2 beta keys, how the f* do I get one?

That’s the question I’ve been asking myself since the beta was announced in early February. To this day no luck… that is until I found out that Gamestop is now giving away beta keys when you pre-order Starcraft 2. No longer do you have to stalk starcraft on facebook or attempt any of the hundreds of “giveaway” contests around the web, just 5 bucks and your in! So…what are you waiting for? go pre-order your copy and ill see you on Battle.net.

R.U.S.E. open beta only on Steam

“w00t! A RUSE Public Beta will be available to everyone on Steam on March 9th ! Stay tuned as more details will come throughout the week !” said Ubisoft’s Community Developer Aymeric Evennou via Twitter yesterday. R.U.S.E. is a new RTS by Ubisoft that is positioned to carve out its own unique place in the genre by giving players a real wartime experience. How? Well in most RTS games its all about who can build the larger army first and simply steamroll your competition. In R.U.S.E. however, its ALL about deception and strategy. For example players can lure their enemy in with some decoy units, while more camouflaged troops lay in wait for the ambush. A great player could even bluff his/her way to victory in R.U.S.E.. If you have a steam account I’d highly recommend checking this one out next week. Hell it’s FREE!

Little Red Riding Hood to be Pitched at GDC

New from game designer American Mcgee, creator of American Mcgee’s Alice, I give you Little Red Riding Hood. Although still just a concept Mcgee posted these images created by his Shanghai based Spicy House Studios on Flickr earlier this week. Depicting little red riding hood hacking away at some big bad wolves, with that artistic style Mcgee is known for.

“[The artwork] depicts a scene from a game concept I’ll be pitching at this year’s GDC,” explains McGee. “If we’re lucky, an interested publisher will help us move it into production. It’s an idea that [Spicy Horse art director] Ken Wong and I have been toying with for years.”

Fingers crossed a good publisher comes by to work with Spicy Horse on this one… I want it!

Halo: Reach Beta Trailer is here!

Bungie’s pearly gates opened up early this morning and out popped a beautiful new trailer for Halo: Reach. The trailer shows off the new multiplayer for the May 3rd beta, which I got to say looks stunning. New modes like Headhunter and Invasion along with 3rd person assassinations, diving rolls, and a vast array of new weapons and powerups are just a few of the things that the beta testers can look forward to. If you watch this and want to get into the Halo: Reach beta, like I did, all you have to do is buy a new copy of Halo: ODST which comes with the code to download it on May 3rd. Enjoy.

Metroid: Other M Trailer

A new Metroid: Other M trailer popped up today, the first one since E3 09′ when Nintendo unveiled the game. No gameplay in this one just beautiful cut scenes that give a glimpse at Metroid’s past. The game is slated for release in the U.S. on June 27, 2010, which isn’t too far away so we should be hearing more about this one soon. Check it out.

Assassin’s Creed 2 for FREE!

Well the multiplayer app that is, Ubisoft has announced today its Assassin’s Creed 2 multiplayer app is free to download for the next 48 hours. You can play along with up to four other players ninja-ing around trying to assassinate each other. There are 3 maps, a few power-ups, and online leaderboards to boot… not bad for free!

Once the 48 hour period is over, aka Wednesday, the game will cost 2.99 so don’t wait go download it now!

Metro 2033 News and Trailer

Metro 2033 is coming out in two weeks and this new trailer is fierce! Finally giving us a peek at some of the creatures and mutants you will be fighting in your quest to save humanity. So check it out. Also earlier this week 4A games, developer of Metro 2033, announced that the game will not be on PS3, stating it was a “business decision.”

“A lot of the early prototypes you saw were of the PC version… You’d probably have to ask someone up in senior THQ finance to find out why we didn’t greenlight a PS3 version at the time, but there’s no reason why the engine wouldn’t work on PS3”, said THQ’s Huw Beynon.
